I can’t allow you to complete me
for I am already whole
Nor can I claim you as my strength
when I’ve always been so strong
Can’t say you’re my guide
when we’ve both been so blind

I won’t set you on a pedestal
Where reality would only end up knocking you down

I can’t claim you as my world
but you’ll always be my sun

The brightest star in my universe
always shining and renewing my life.
