pleasures that you take
sink into my belly
and pull me to the bottom of the sea.
they unroll oriental rugs
across the floor of my mind.
they make my nipples ache
and draw the window blinds.
they free me to acquiesce,
to be more of less,
be the upturned face,
be the unguarded one.

the pleasure that you take
opens my veins
and bleeds my body dry as desert stone.
it reroutes the path of time
through dark and eerie woods.
it makes my temples throb
and confounds my speech.
it tattoos my tongue with inks
imprinting the truth- that you
are the bright light I see,
are the flame that centers me.

You employed some very nice lines with analogy and metaphor.... I liked this poem and hope to read more of your musings...QQ
