Screaming, fighting, pitching a fit
"I'm sorry, darlin'," you told me,
"but that's all that you get."

Clutching, wanting, letting pain flow
"I adore you," you told me,
"but you must let me go."

Keening, whining, reeling in shock
"I'm done here," you told me,
"so what use is talk?"

Crushing, destroying, raining the blows
"I hate this," I told you,
"we've sunk to new lows."

Holding, waiting, listening for the phone
"Don't touch me," I told you,
"just leave me alone."

Folding, collapsing, crumbling inside
I'm choking, I tell you,
on your secrets and lies.

Bitter ending.

The same old line, "It's not you ~ it's me." The ultimate copout.

And in the bitter end

What's missed is the hidden bitter beginning...
