Academic Research Writer & Editor. Avid reader of Fantasy & Sci-Fi. Focus: My primary focus in editing will be developing the readability of your writing while keeping your style and voice. I want to make sure that your voice comes through your writing while also delivering something a reader will more likely finish. Examples of things I'll bring up in editing includes: Character (consistency & development), Pacing(When to expand and when to make things more concise), Knowing when to 'Show' and when to 'Tell', etc. Grammar: While I do believe that good grammar is important to good writing and keeping a reader interested, I only care about it for readability. I don't believe in archaic grammar rules, such as what words can & can't start/end sentences, etc. I'll edit grammar insofar as it effects readability of your story.
