Howdy! I'm an author myself, so I know how difficult it can be to self-edit your work. When I try to edit my own stories, I find I miss common mistakes easily. Other authors I've spoken with on other sites have said they find that to be true for themselves. I prefer to edit gay male stories. I don't have any hang-ups within that genre, though. Pretty much anything you want to throw at me, I'll read/edit for you within the gay male genre (as long as it follows the site's rules). My friends used to call me a grammar-nazi, because I would correct them when they misspoke. So, commonly misused words are something I have an eye for. My pet peeves are the misuse of then/than, neither/nor vs. either/or, misuse of their/there/they're, to name a few. I believe continuity is paramount for a story. I've been told I have a talent for making dialogue in a story sound natural.
