I have more experience than I like to think about writing research papers over the years, and proofreading other people's papers and stories provided me with spending money all through college. I currently edit for several superb authors here on Lit, and I'm interested in possibly taking on more. My specialty is spelling and grammar, as opposed to content and story. I am a hopeless romantic by nature, so I might be of extra help to you if your story is of a romantic bent (not necessarily in the "romance" category). I have a definite predilection for the Nonhuman and SciFi/Fantasy categories, and know a great deal about mythical creatures in general. Other areas of expertise include history (especially military history), video games, and nerd culture in general. I do have standards about what I'll work with. Basically, your grammar has to meet a certain standard before I'll agree to work with you. The bar is not all that high, but it's quite definite. I hate to be so blunt, but it saves a lot of time. The reason I'm picky is because below a certain point I wind up basically rewriting the entire story, which is not something that I'm willing to do. Please don't be intimidated by what I just said. If you're unsure whether your grammar meets my standards, contact me. I will be honest, but I will not be mean to you in any way. Just contact me and we'll go from there. :)
