Click hereThe contest kicked off with a large public event in the main auditorium on campus, during which Dr. Nicholas Larson, Chairman of the Art Department of Davenport State University, introduced the 500 x 200 x 10 challenge and its three participating models. He started by describing the scope, goals, and rules of the competition. It would be the most ambitious photo-shoot of naked models ever attempted in the US. It would last eight weeks and would take place in a total 20 locations in 10 states. The original plan was to have 50 photographers participating in each state, but the number was expanded to 50 photographers for each location, which meant 1000 photographers would participate during the entire event. The goal was that every photographer in the US with any stature in the field would be able to contribute.
