I have never met you,
But I know who you are,
You walk with me in daydreams,
Sit with me in quiet moments.

I know the warmth of your smile,
And the comfort of your touch,
I can hear the music of your voice,
And read the unspoken words in your eyes.

We will find the strength in weakness,
Leaving behind the fears and worries,
Freedom from all of our burdens,
With only love left for us to keep.

There is no despair in my loneliness,
Because it is only patient waiting,
Waiting for you to make memories,
And share the stars with.

When the day finally comes,
And I recognize a familiar stranger,
It will not be love at first sight,
For I have loved you all my life.
