Let me tell you about
a little girl lost
in search of daddy/god—
she is an accidental mother
and lover of beginnings.
Often she returns
to a feral, wild-eyed thing,
licking endless wounds
in need of deep, dark healing.
Mostly she feels hidden.
Did someone bury her alive?
Her tears have turned to dust,
her flesh to brittle bone,
and her tongue tries to speak the words
but no one can understand.
Her love could heal the world,
but if you touch her, she will crumble,
turn to dust under your fingers
and leave you empty-handed.

A good one...

Yes...this is a good one...you captured it right away.., the daddy/god thing...the accidental mother thing, all of it and the feral bit also, yes...the need to burrow into a protective safety...

Amicus...

Someone.

Someone with so much love to give ~ yet to fragile in spirit to be able to give it.

~~

Insights to a tortured soul,

Alone, not sure how things will turn out.

This one's nicely done;

Again, one of the rare, better 'Alone' poems.

tugs...

...at my insides with sharp little claws of recognition.

Beautifully written. Thank you, kiss, Anna
