Daffodils are spreading their golden sunshine
As fragrant hyacinths perfume the air
A sudden shower wets the ground yet
soon yields to a radiant sunny day
Myriads of spring bulbs come to life
in the warm humid expectant air
A cacophony of color ensues-
Straw yellow,magenta,lavender,cerise
apricot, watermelon, and strawberry
combine in a riotous melee
Across the garden squirrels dig for
newly planted seeds as chipmunks and rabbits
scoot over the newly moistened grass
Suddenly, the sky darkens
A hawk circling overhead eyes its prey
With one perfectly coordinated swoop
a baby rabbit becomes its next victim
The quickly moving bunny manages to get away
but is mortally wounded
It disappears forever in the tall grass
It is April
Daffodils are spreading their golden sunshine
As fragrant hyacinths perfume the air
Inevitably, Nature must go on

This reminds me of when I lived way out in the country in Minnesota. I love nature and animals - just hate it when they eat each other. Ish! Yup, that's the way it goes! Nature...
Another good poem, sack!
I do not know why that did that twice but here's a third to say that's nice :)
