Arigatou
Wolf Feather

Deliverer of dreams,
golden soul trapped behind golden eyes,
a little package holding immense wrath,
I look to you.

You walk amongst your meals,
yet you protect us all
     without out knowing
          of your mission,
          of your true nature,
               of your inner turmoil.
But on you plod -
a black hole illuminated by sunlight,
     just another schoolgirl
holding a dark secret in her soul -
yet I turn to you.

The flame barely dismissed from your hand,
the contempt still written upon your face,
the pale skin invites me
     the cold touch burns me
          the golden eyes chill me
...yet I embrace you.

Slowly, they extend
with your breath warm upon my face
as the moonlight breaks through the clouds
and the ashes of the dark are dispersed by the wind.
My eyes meet yours,
     My soul finds yours,
and we both see what we want
          but which I cannot give.

Mechanical
     is your bite.

I smile a gasp past your ear,
yet I feel myself losing myself
     slowly,
gently,
happily,
as your cold hands burn me.

The deed nearly done, you withdraw;
     the teeth retract,
my blood trickles off your chin.
The golden eyes call to me once more
     as mine begin to close.

I dream of you.
I hope you will always carry with you my understanding.

Arigatou.

Dedicated to Miyu.

The ending of a life ~ parting is sorrowful.

~~

The unexpected is far preferred over the mundane, for those who can handle it.
