She sits quiet
I stand by
So she tells me
Something precious
Or tries to try
I already know
Or I do do I
When I learn to listen
Telling telling truths
A dream my dream heart dreamed
While half in half sleep
Yesterday was it
When we first met
In unspoken whispers
Friend to friend
Reflections of reflections
Mirrors broken by heartache
We saw each other
Framed in frames
Nice and neat
Images of lies we told ourselves
To give it all away
To make it all all right
So what of is right
Right now
And what is left
Now that we left all that behind
The future holds in its fragile hands
Seeds sprouted and root bound
To our trailing past
Looking forward for something
In the empty land in between
Oh me oh My friend
You are so much closer than you think

~~

What separates friends and other relations

Despite hardest work to close that gulf.
