~~~~~~Breaking the Chain~~~~~~
A Ra'diant Hexagon over Sons of the Sun
watched as the Pharaoh King died.
Seven petal flower a deceptive demise
the vine's infinite reach in trials.
Streaking skies in drifting debris
mankind's freedom on orbital grounds.
As comets rockets soar, breaking the chain
uncharted territory's mysterious lure.
The children of the Sun
ravage sun drenched fruit,
sharpening steel and holding apron strings.
On the swells of astral planes they dream.
Damn, this doesn't sound like the ravings of a man who never has to release the safety catch on his pistol.
Enjoyed the read.
Just goes to show
Even an alleged East Texas redneck
Can have words so deep
That demand the reader be thinking.
