Fingertips meet
on heavy glass
i see you
as i see myself
we're held back by the past.

Eyes meet
you understand
where i've been
and what i've done
and you reach out your hand.

I wish we could touch
wish we were the same
we're so close
and yet so far
you're still lost in your pain.
