You were here for what seemed such a short time.
You seem so young when you passed from this earth to Heaven above.
Yet, who am I to question when He calls You home?
I try to silence my heart as it cries the tears of losing You.

You touched so many lives, especially mine with Your love.
You did so much for so many without a second thought.
Yet, shouldn’t that mean You’re allowed more time here for being so good?
I try to silence my heart as it cries the ache of needing You.

You had such wonderful attributes with Your humour, whit, and intelligence.
You brought laughs, advice, smiles, and happiness to those around You.
Yet, how can I not want to more of that?
I try to silence my heart as it cries the tears of missing You.

You had the sweetest, hearty laugh that was catching.
Your laugh was truly joyous and honest.
Yet, how can I go on without hearing that or Your voice again?
I try to silence my heart as it cries the ache of craving You.
