But I...
Why did...
You said...
hopes dashed
life altered
suicidal ideation
and then...the calm
blowing snow cleansing the
muddy thoughts
the phone call, the vital one
yes, I'll be OK
creativity returns
poems write themselves
factories hum
and imperceptively
the badly broken heart
begins to heal
but when I look up
I can still see the hammer
waiting...
