There’s something clear about a half rainy day.

It’s the crispness in the cool air that carries scent

Laying in bed with the window open keeps it chilly

Giving permission to stay under the covers in bed and touch myself

The spring smells like mint, reminding me of the boys in high school

Trying to be so perfectly gelled, styled and smelling right

Disguising their confused and furious lust while snapping spearmint gum

Being prey feels different now, I give myself weakness for the sake of worship

Laying in the wake of a vigorous night, an older man so stunted he felt like youth

Sore, ached, puffy bits. My fingers trace over my skin in ticklish remembrance

A cock that pounded, hands that groped, he forgot the tenderness of my breast.

Relaxed, I stroke a nipple and in joy

Drift on the scent of a breeze
