Dwelling here in this dark place inside my mind
Won't someone come along and bring me out into the light?
Make me smile, make me laugh... hell, make me cry
Let it run down my face... it's such a lonely place
Face constantly turned aside, waiting for the next blow to fall
I'm just so tired.
These thoughts run over and over through my mind
Comparisons are terribly unkind
I never come out ahead, always behind
Don't ask me to open my eyes
What's the point? I'm blind.
I've lost one of my senses, maybe more
I can't see the colors in my rainbow or feel any warmth inside.
Dwelling here in this space, this place, where all my pain resides
Sometimes I run and hide but it always finds me again
There's no peace for me to find because it's dwelling in my mind
