Her face a lack of gaze to me
Her heart devoid of loving emotion
For now she just wants to be free
No more matrimonial devotion.

I guess that ship has just set sail
She said she's not in love with me
That seems to be the coffins last nail
No longer us, or ours, or we

This is my third time round the bend
I can see the pyre our loves upon
The bloody battle as hearts are rend
Each of us, going, going, gone

The sword of Damocles will not be sheathed
It's just a matter of time I guess
There'll be no call, no last reprieve
We've had our last say, I do confess.

She's no idea, the storm ahead
As truth and trials she'll face
Before it's done she'll wish me dead
And I'LL face my own disgrace.

But without love, it is doomed to fail
No wishful thinking change that fact
For her, she had to go, to bail
No tricks, no luck, no devils pact.

I hope for her a happy smile
And God forgives me of my sins
And learn to live a different style
For in this stupid game, nobody wins.

OMG!!!! TEARS!!!

Beautiful! So sad. I feel this so strongly!!! That very first line, that first verse. You captured that pain so perfectly. ❤ I really loved it!
