As we cuddled snug in our bed
with sleep starting to befall us,
a plaintive cry entered the room
carrying such an urgent lust
that sleep slipped back as we listened
for one more cry not meant for us.

In little time she cried anew;
shortly after we heard her squeal,
and from her cries of “Eat me! Please!”
she was clearly being a meal,
and my honey wondered aloud
if all these sounds were truly real.

As one more cry pierced the darkness,
deep in my mind, I saw the scene
of a lady prone on the bed,
her mouth agape, ready to scream
with her lover between her legs
yet holding back and being mean.

My honey sighed into my neck
as I held her to me so tight
as we listened to the sweet cries
as randomly they pierced the night
and yet somehow assured us both
that our own love truly was right.
