Click hereoh I know I'll never have her
so I guess our moments here
she is from afar a bright brown star
I knew her up close in allher unglamor
thinking her even far more lovely
she spoke with the level calm
of the southern rolling plain
Yet I could see summer slow burning
beyond below her horizon
this sea bound sailor's delight
all I wanted all in all
off of our many wordswas the holding of herita
as one knows one's touch
even without any actuality
she was so certain
there in her pink sweats
I felt as if we might just be
ever elusive simpatico
a fire without spark
that burns low and even
and like the rain is always there
She taught me the love of tornadoes
even as we entered the eye
branches and bows broke around us
we didn't fall - never really coming down
I had hoped to hang a little later
but she was off up and away before
I could charm her with my many monkey ticks
as none can resist a good groomer
I imagine her taste just as the whisky hits
and long for a long hand on her thigh
but how can I ever get anywhere near?
Me and my miles of miles away
she is as distant as Venus
But i still dream her earthen touch
and level voice in my ear
wanting her fire all the more
Her wine is overly sweet
explained off as an aquirred color
I wish I had aquired her taste
and been the stuff of her lover

"there in her pink sweats" is great line. The entire poem was a pleasure to read.
