It's well enough to watch you fly,

swoop a script across
my vision, your signature in
secret ink brought forth with
deep blue kisses fetched
from stratosphere.

Can you see it? Black dots dancing
on cyan paper. They go high today,
so high.

You're too a phantom particle,
evading eyes up there.

But I'm not. Here,
feel my hand in yours,
always right beside you.

Not really,
your feet never reach all the way down,
and your lungs breathe lighter air
wherever you are, somewhere up there.

But I don't mind,
tethered to gravity,
I rest on rock, release you to soar.
I have no need for another high,

it's well enough to watch you fly.

Really like this

I like the cohesion of this and (what I find in most of your writing) the gentle allusion to emotion: subtle as honeysuckle. Thank you. C.o.S.

a Liar poem??

what a treat to read after a thoroughly rotten day. The last line is magical, it touched me, made me wish...so many things.

It's been too long

since I saw one of your poems, Liar

Glad to see your return. This is fabulous, crafted with vivid imagery such as

'swoop a script across

my vision, your signature in

secret ink brought forth with

deep blue kisses fetched

from stratosphere.'

A pleasure to read, as always
