Highway Rose: call of the wild (part three)
Under a moon's glow a wolf's distant howl.
Highway Rose counts the money and growls
as flames flickered from an off-road fire
a long stem poised, setting her sites higher.
She slumbered across cold imitation leather.
A cool wind blew and Rose woke in a shiver
dreamed of a life on a sun and straw beach
rolling up windows, she turned on the heat.
Under the stars the car sped down the road
as Highway Rose pondered another days spoils.
Head lights beamed across jeans and a smile
she stopped and looked back at his sexy style.
She knew better than to pick up a ride
but her longing for a big score was her drive.
The rules of the game; to never play with fire
it appeared he could satisfy a woman's desires.
He came running up in a breathless huff.
"Where to?" she asked in a heated gust.
He hopped in, smiled, the car door closed.
