I need a woman here with me
to kiss and share my bed.
But she is nowhere to be seen
she's only in my head.
Time passes by so slow
at night I am alone.
I need a woman here with me
someone to call my own.

I need a woman here with me
to hold and share my joy.
To treat me like the man I am
and not some little boy.
Time is very precious
we are given just so much.
I need a woman here with me
someone who I can touch.

I need a woman here with me
to talk and share my sight.
To look into the future
and dream with all our might.
Time is running out for me
as I get old and gray.
I need a woman here with me
if only for one day.

I need a woman here with me
to love and share my pain.
To walk beside me as I go
toward life's last refrain.
Time flies by much faster
as life draws near the end.
I need a woman here with me
if just to be a friend.

I need a woman here with me
and she need not be real.
She could be with me in thought
someone I could not feel.
Time is gone and I lie still
upon this lonely bed.
There is no woman here with me
to weep when I am dead.
