Oh to be green
and made of rubber
and never have to worry about
remembering PIN numbers.
I'd be fully poseable
in my arms and legs
and I'd never have to eat
Mom's deviled eggs.
I'd have friends like Pokey
who'd tell me I'm neat
and I'd never have to worry
about eating too many sweets.

CHORUS:
Oh if I were Gumby
I'd have no problems,
and if I did,
the animator would solve 'em.
If I were Gumby
I could just be green
and match Spring grass
and string beans.

Oh to be goofy
and have crooked flattop
and never have to mess with
crooked traffic cops.
I'd be silly
and fun for the kids
and never hurt myself
when I do a butt-skid.
I'd have no money,
no belongings to protect
and I'd never worry about
being politically correct.

CHORUS REPEATS
