on a drive at 2 am
she tells me she's imperfect
she loves the dark
the mystery of mysterious things
sharp rocks on a beach
have savage beauty
that bright white sand
at noon tide lacks
she loves the fall of fall
and rain in rain on rainy days
I smile a knowing smile
seeing an imperfect paradise
lit in the dashboard light
and as the tires roll
over dreamy rolling road
I think I think I know
a little bit about her
liking everything I see
perhaps not perfect
yet perfect for me
