In the Swing

When I was child and still in school,
I would sit in the swing and slowly start.
I would hold the chains that bound me to Earth
Yet in the Swing No boundaries held me back.
My mind was free to think of things,
What am I today.
A pilot or an astronaut
Higher and Higher I would go
Not held back.
I would laugh as my mind thought
Of all the things I could be.
The swing was an escape of every day life
No worries, no strife.
Oh how wish I were again young
To sit in that swing
My life had just begun.
