A father's involuntarily given gift
Blood like wadded paper in veins
  Remains like time bomb
    Waiting to strike
Hidden in the platelets unseen

Found by chance in test batteries
An unpleasant little sorry surprise
  Thighs ache and swell
    And can only abide
Forced sedentariness not helping

Another drop in the bucket

What Hardy used to call

Life's little ironies - horrible and only too common .

Good for a wry nod.

Well done!
