Listen to the lapping
breakers breaking on beachhead
as as we lay together
chained in the cares of sunlight
while winter sun leaves the sky
heavy with cloud felt guilt
hidden silver linings
telling sand beneath
starts to turn away cold
dream robed together
to keep ourselves warm
against tide rising night
we are our own constellations
drawing shapes on each other's skin
in words like love
I still see traces
you are the moonlight
that guides me in darkness
and follows me always
