never let go
before, and still,
white knuckles
around this stem

turning to a string
of dust

dissolving on a high note.

should I pray
for proper measures?
mumble apologies
into marble echoes?

maybe sing
for a thread
slipped through fingers,
left to drift

Struck a chord ...

I can feel this one Liar.

Great imagery and word play. Just sings through and captures the music in our soul, and poet in our hearts. Great one here ~!!

I'm not sure if I understand all of this...

I just feel in the presence of a powerful poet!
