      (help them…)

i’m an “us.”  T —
maybe you don’t know what that is.
almost anyone can imagine it.  you
need no eyes to understand the pain;
unless you are barren of soul, you know it.   a
swollen, horrible deadly force said it first:   “I’m
Tsunami.”

Thanks all...

I wanted to convey the overwhelming *presence* of tsunami... the first line is "tsunami" backwards. The first letters of each line spell "tsunami" going up. The last letters of each line spell "tsunami" going down. And "tsunami" can be spelled by taking the appropriate letters from several lines in the poem.

The "T" in the first line was a little hard to rationalize... but I was thinking crossroads, choice, shape of the old Roman cross, symbol of suffering, that sort of thing.

"Mis-naut" as an anagram for "tsunami" in the title seemed (with a stretch) to evoke "nautical mishap"... Ok, "I Am Nuts" might have been a better one.

I think I hit a foul ball. :) At least I took a swing.

and it works for me. :)

thought provoking......

You can also mix the poem up and it works...start with I'm a tsunami, etc. Some could argue this is excessively mysterious, but I think it is all in the mindset!
