For some reason—I don't know
I think about her on that street

Those lights, the cars, the emptiness between people—

She's never been there
Or I've never been there with her
But I told her about the place and she says she knows it

And sometimes it seems that's all we'll ever have
Is talking about places that we'll never see together

But both of us know
And know so well.

Hearing is believing

I love listening to this poem being read aloud. Adds a whole new dimension. Thank you, Dr. Marbeuse!
