she punches punched holes
in my old valentine's heart
and all my old love letters;
they fit so much better
in her forgotten folders that way
alone at last alone init all
so much for romance
I find I failed I tried and tried true
unafraid I gave till I gave
love in love like love
too too late to save
ah well and oh well
so much for that
love me now
for the now
and so go your way
what sweet mystery there is
we can savor for moments
then awake as strangers
so we don't have to say goodbye
my kisses do me no good
you may have them all
I may never use them again
at least that's the lines
my heart has given me to read;

blank verse to a blank page
empty seats to an empty stage.

Why do you think you can't write concisely? Look at those last two powerful lines. An excellent finish with powerful punch.
