Oh, Father Brown, where are you bound at such a hurried pace?
"I'm going to the store, my son, a truly splendid place.
I have this ad, which some fine lad has left upon my door.
It makes me such an offer as I've never seen before."

He hurried on; when he was gone, I saw the page he'd read.
I knew what he was thinking of as to the store he sped.
In boldest print, no need to squint, the ad was loud enough
A one day special, just today: boys' pants here are half off.
