I bought new sunglasses today; they’re prescription.
When I wear them I receive a warm reception,
From Catholics, Cardinals, Bishops, priests, and nuns.
They want to know where I bought them. They all want one.
I confessed the truth, dismay, “God made just the one.”
Faith in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost,
And they wouldn’t see my stained sunglasses as odd.
God, what would they do if I boasted, “I’m a Jew.”
Yes, the clergy of all people should not require stained sunglasses to see. Good job.
