i hear the call of the wind
of the wet and the rain
and i want to dance in the heat
drifting up from the ground
where cold wet splatter
sears the earth's warmth
stealing my breath
cooling my skin
draining the life
out of my very existence

i can feel the danger
in the wind
lose myself in the thunder
blinded by lightening
hearing nature's call
it's more than a response

it's knowing myself.
