She flows outward
I brave and bright
As steelhead and gold
Drive inward onward
Upward deeper
Jumping thrusting diving
Up ladders toward ecstasy
Heroic moments of desire
Seeded desperation
Enflames, erects, inspire
A wish to fill her river
With a thousand strong
Movements of love
Till I finally find
A place where I can rest
In shallow wet spots
Laying dazed and spent

In her dreams
I am there too
And there I lay
To be reborn
In dreams again
And love again
Someday
