Waiting for the sun to sink
Into a sea of murky clouds.
I anticipate the night.
The orange light outside
flickers like lightening before
it illuminates the noisy streets.
People scatter like insects
Seeking shelter in silence
of their homes
The night owls
swarm the city
ready to attack the night.
