I'm waiting for something, though I don't know what.
I can feel it... somewhere inside my brain,
Like an ice cube clattering in a glass.
The sides turn and reflect the light but remain colorless.

In a dream, I move from room to room,
Slower and slower no matter how I try to move fast,
Searching everywhere for something I cannot find,
For something... I can't even identify.

Day after day goes slowly past in a relentless march.
I can't even recall how I frittered my time away.
Perhaps just sitting here, watching the clock,
Listening to the ticking and frantically doing... nothing.
