Shadows and Dreams

Night black steel,
like a shaitan's wing.

The darkness gathers,
the raven's scream.

Children cry,
As shadows fly.

The past is born,
as the future dies.

Brothers weep,
as mothers morn.

The darkness comes,
and shadows are born.

** **

We forge the future on
an anvil of fate.

From the hammer of time
do the sparks of dreams ring.

Strike well ye smiths of the soul.
as my future you do create.

Let all life know
the beauty you bring.
