Slanted rays
shine on gardens
unattended

Faded headline
in the milkbox
time suspended

Slender grass
hides her footprints
next to mine

Muddied birdbath
distant piping
nature retreats

Peeling paint
rusty nails
broken hearts

Waiting

She will return...

Poignant.

In spite of the beautiful imagery there still exists an air of sadness about this lovely rendering. Beautiful.

A real sadness on the milk carton

It's amazing how a few words can bring a little melancholy to the heart!

Written with soul!
