Forever Thankful to God

He's been a light in my storm,
Understands what I've endured.
So generous and so kind,
My thanks to him are assured.

He's had tough times in life too,
So kindred spirits are we.
It's hard to thank him enough,
For rebuilding dignity.

His gifts allow extra time,
Needed to restore my soul.
From years of abuse I heal,
New progress isn't as slow.

So at this time of the year,
People give thanks and reflect.
On things to be thankful for,
I give my utmost respect.

"Thank you God."

Thank you God

This is a wonderful poem. If only more of us were this brave.
