The old man,
asleep in the hammock,
dreams of a summer day
long ago.
a secluded riverbank
a cottonwood
shading the sun,
his lover there with him
on a blanket
under the tree.
a lazy fly settling
between her twins;
as he brushes away the fly
he caresses
the cherry colored

finding him,
warm, damp
