With mighty keyboard in hand,
She writes stories to create.
Dialogue and description,
Until that end of year date.
Thirty categories strong,
Only abstains from a few.
Susan entertains the fans,
Most believe her stories true.
Characters tell what to write,
Constantly chat in her head.
There’s no break from their voices,
They talk when resting in bed.
They all want their stories told,
They tell her what she should say.
She is the vessel they use,
Using her brain in that way.
End of December arrives,
The date she works the year long.
Survivor Contest is hers,
Those who think they’ll win are wrong.
So here’s a special salute,
The best writer of them all!
With many writers to beat,
First they falter, then they fall.
With other writers who try,
To become the best writer.
Chances are slim they will win,
Congrats Susan Jill Parker.

Tsothaabout 10 years agoWell... Impossible not to laugh trying to picture the writer reading this out loud to herself (possibly in front of the mirror). :D I liked stanzas 3 and 4 best:
"Characters tell what to write,

They tell her what she should say.

Using her brain in that way."
You could probably have made something out of that; a poem about writing prose.
jaybird8100about 10 years agoThere is not a thing wrong with patting yourself on the back and telling what a great talent is behind writing the 'real-life erotic stories'. When I was a kid many years ago, we always enjoyed the series books Hardy Boys and it's sister set Nancy Drew, mainly because they seemed so real and we could relate to their plots and characters. Now we have series by Lawrence Sanders and Sue Grafton that involve us the readers and for erotic literature of a quality nature we turn to Literotic and especially Susan Jill Parker! One can see the thought and care that goes into each chapter and that we are dealing with an educated, detail oriented and caring author.
If I was closer, I'd be there helping you slap yourself on the back and smiling all the time while doing so-you are the best for all of us! One last thought-too many people read stories and fail to comment or rate and then only do when it's to be critical-one more reason to say OK to some self praise! Smiles-Jaybird :)

Maybe by writing this poem, I'll inspire someone else to win the 2014 Survivor contest, the last year of the contest.
