In all darkness there is light unseen: soft moans and gasps cried to the air
And in that light, darkness holds firm, for pain follows pleasure as a lover obsessed
For within dry mouths, screaming to the night, leather sits taut
And as toes curl, welts lay unseen on soft skin, forever marked
When fingers claw at bedclothes, tears slip against starched sheets
Bliss or anguish: in the darkness they are the same
In light, those tears gleam a pain too deep: in darkness they must remain, transformed
Deeper darkness turned to sobbed pleasure - a cry of hurt now turned forever
For a new light lays there with them in the dark
A light unseen but shared by both - the brightest light, invisible.
The light of Love.
