I could live inside this cage I've made,
Memorize the boundaries that I've laid.
I fool myself that these thoughts will pass,
That this heart of Mine will be safe at last.

I walk within the cage I know,
Hoping to be saved, from high and low.
But there's nothing for the need in me,
That longs to soar, longs to break free.

I could go higher than the trees
When he had me on my knees
Letting go of all control
Absolute trust was the toll

My heart longs to be there once again
And feel the touch of erotic pain
To be the one who is at his feet
And hear the praise he gives so sweet

I mistook his intentions but then
I knew he was different from other men
Drawn in, I was entangled willingly
Within the web of he wove for me

We had our nightly passionate swells
But we each slept each in our private hells
I felt no need to be free of the trance
I craved his harsh but intimate dance

But now just I can't block the reality out
And lose the things that made me doubt
For without trust there is nothing left
No words to heal a heart bereft

So I'll live inside this cage I've made
And memorise the boundaries that I've laid
