In the dancing darkness
Lives this vile sentience
     This base and cruel
     This hungry and wild
This civilization

In the victim void
Festers this slavering mind
     This pointless and crude
     This selfish and blind
This species

In the wasting world
Rampages this damned population
     This hateful and violent
     This dying and killing
This humanity

Some very true descriptions of humanity IMO. What's with these humans? They have gifts and power beyond compare and use them for hate and domination. Why love and compassion? (If you want my personal opinion, it's because men rule the world...)
