Burning like tiny tissue paper flowers,
Praying the hand that struck the flame,
Wasn’t really one of ours.
While in the eyes of our long lost love,
We watch the smoke trails rise above.
We never noticed it before,
Striking old familiar poses,

On a distant shore,
Reads the names of burning roses.
definitly not like poetry ive read before, very creative but not surprising giving the talents of the author. great job barnaby! keep them coming.
