Now she nos the whole of it
We're past the fun and games
I see her behind her clothes
She knows my secret names

all the dangerous areas
have gone out with the tide
treasured chests unburied and open
coming close to see inside

she was one like me as well
there really are so few
childlike walking backward
everything past seen new

how I miss those thrilling moments
furtive photos and phone call smiles
mysterious mail with toy surprises
filled with love those long lonely miles

so what was it really
that brought it all to its end
the age old choice of character
Lose a lover, keep a friend

All in all and all in all
How sad and sad to discover
After all these after alls
I loved myself out of lover
