I do enjoy...

...that time of year
Winter's salt
had spiced the world
the first course brought
fresh greenery
appetizers
mixed with bites
of yellow, pink and blue

...cool hot nights
sunk in late summer silence
dreaming of youthful yesterdays
in my usual undressedness
staring up to a starry sky
twinkles from voyeuristic Venus
as trains go by the petty pool
drowning out vacant voices
of passing pedestrians

...garden work
   them beauties with thorns
set free from their plastic shoes
   given a new home

...the pride to see them grow
once
these little feet
that first kicked
learned to stand
mastered to walk
run and ride a bike
these grown feet
that stomp and jump
they'll learn to dance
and walk away
one day

...each morning with you
front to back
human cutlery
curves convex, concave
glued together by sweat
a perfect fit
synced breath
shared dreams
four legs
two hearts
became one
overnight

~~~
I love you
precious one
as you touch my lips
lighter than angel wings would
more sinful than the devil could
you bring joy, tears and a good laugh
but sometimes even none is enough
oh, don't you lament
my polyamory
when I worship your friends
in the comments
I love to play with you
twist and turn
your every meaning
shake up your letters
to let the world know
there's only one for snow
...every word
I love the imagery, the shifting of seasons, themes, and scenes. It made my heart ache, swell, and hunger all at once! S only poetry can. Wonderful 👏 👏 👏.
Beautifully entwined
Lexicon of love and lust;
Poetry admiring poetry,
Polyamorous and incestuous.
Worship every word.
Polyamory indeed.
Writing with feedback is instantly gratifying. Especially if the feedback is provoked by smiles.
Well you went and did it! Placed these ordinary words just so, and produced a thing of beauty. Fabulous!
